![]() when I tried to delete the pk3 files because I thought they were redundant with the ogg files in the sounds/cdtracks folders, it defaulted back to the NIN soundtrack. the other mission pack will have music for the first demo properlyĪfter a bit more testing, I found out that this worked for me with some hipnotic_music and rogue_music pk3 files I got from the quakeone forums. note that the first armagon demo still won't have music after you do this, but the second one will and when you start the game it will. well, if you just do the same thing with armagon - listen.bat, it will start working. I assume if you've got Armagon running in Darkplaces, then that means you've already renamed darkplaces.exe to winquake and then edited the armagon.bat to put in winquake instead of glquake. I figured out how to fix this but I'm not entirely sure why it worked. ![]() Is there a way to arrange the files so that the mission pack plays its own soundtrack? Then I run darkplaces with the extension -game hipnotic to play the mission pack, which works fine, only it plays the original NIN soundtrack. Mission pack soundtrack: Quake/hipnotic/music/track2.ogg etc. Original NIN soundtrack: Quake/id1/music/track2.ogg etc. My current setup for soundtrack files is: A great overall addition, so if you're revisiting the old Quake don't miss this one either, it's unquestionably worth it.Opprinnelig skrevet av Duncan Doenitz:I have a related problem. These include some sticky grenades that are motion sensitive, a laser canon that sends ricochet blasts, a pretty original weapon and a few others as well. Still, given the more meaty new encounters, with more aggrieve enemies and more numerous enemies, the pack adds just a few new weapons. But on medium or easy, while still rather hard, it's manageable. Alright, to be frank, judging by the size and content that gets passed down through DLCs today, this assortment of levels and modes in Quake Mission Pack No 1: Scourge of Armagon is actually good enough! In good old fashioned retro style, the difficulty level of the new scenarios can quickly escalate to insanity, especially of you choose to play on the higher levels of difficulty. This mission pack is not as hefty as I expected all it contains is 3 new episode, a new deathmatch level as well as a good quantity of new monsters. Expands the original Quake with 3 more episodes While it lacks the depth or subtlety of Battlefield or Goldeneye, Quake remains a classic as far as hard core shooters go, and this expansion pack is a must-play for fans. The weapons too add some extra fun although a few more wouldn't have been amiss. Graphically and aurally, the game is still reasonably impressive, with some moody lighting, good visual effects and lots of punch to the various weapon sounds. The difficulty level is pitched about right and should challenge even shooter veterans, with the new enemies providing some much appreciated variety in both visuals and tactics. The single player campaign, while not exactly brimming with originality in terms of storyline, maintains the series' reputation for excellent design and heart-stopping action, with some atmospheric levels that provide plenty of opportunities for exploration and lots of intense shoot-outs. For single players, there are an extra fifteen campaign missions, while there is also a new multi-player arena, which is populated by some interesting and novel enemies who wield some fun new weapons. As the name suggests, this is an expansion for the classic FPS, Quake, and adds in a bunch of new content to make an already great game even better.
